Skagit Peers Debut on Front Street
Skagit Peers, a nonpartisan grassroots movement are “We the People” of the Supreme Law of the Land!
Remember, ‘We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for Skagit County, AGAIN! If this was good enough for our forefathers, we must make it a requirement now so our children can inherit the same liberties and rights as we did.
July the 4th, the day of family, BBQ, Flags, fireworks and parades. Skagit Peers made their debut with the number 1 Best Float of the parade down Main and Ferry street, Sedro Woolley, WA.
The music played, the flags flew and the veterans saluted the crowd and the children played free.
The floats slowly filed by… A man appeared on his white stallion, with his bride Deb, his Stetson hat, waving to the crowd. His stallion stopped and the announcement said, “There is a new sheriff coming to town!”
… and then as if high-lighted by a search light, a float appeared, The 1st sign said ‘We the People’, followed by,
“Skagit Peers, Protect Our Children’s Constitutional Freedom! Join us at sheriffconstitutional.com. The children wearing their
“Protect our Freedom” tee-shirts waved, threw candy from the float as the ushers handed out cards to the waving crowd.
The Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights sealed the back of float as the Skagit Peers declared their presence for saving Skagit County’s future for the posterity of all.
The crowd cheered and whistled as the float’s banners proclaimed, “A free Constitutional Skagit county.”
A lady sat in back of her grandchildren and quipped, “My grandkids are free, what is the float trying to say?”
Her son spoke up and said, “ My dad fought for our freedom and now we are letting it all slip away. Even today this parade is impromptu because the local government said we couldn’t have a sanctioned parade this year because of the virus…
This parade is living proof that there is still an American Spirit Alive and well! More than 80 exhibits said we are going to have a parade highlighting the American Patriotic families, and that’s the Freedom, Mom!”
“Someone has to say, ‘ENOUGH of the government telling us, when we can work, what they will teach our children in school even if we object, what to wear and by the way turn in your guns!’”
“If our children are to know the Americana (history, cultural heritage, folklore, and all things American) that we love, then we have to secure those freedoms and rights for them NOW!”
“Sweetheart, take a picture of that website, I want to be able to tell our children, We believe in you and we stood for your rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness BEFORE the country went completely off the rails!”
“I don’t know what it takes to become a Skagit Peer, but I am one!” the son said.
“Me too!” his wife said as their two small girls ran towards the float for the free candy.
The silver haired rider spurred his white steed and the float passed through the audience as the lone voice of Kevin Ewing cried,
“If the constitution was good enough then, It is a requirement from now on!
The crowd shuffled in place reluctant to leave, as the comments flowed, “Just like old times.” “More patriotism than I’ve seen in a long time.” “I felt like I was back home again!”
The floats rounded the corner and the crowd was in awe, “We had a 4th of July parade without permission, and it felt GOOD!”
