Skagit Peers is a nonpartisan, grassroots movement of neighbors, friends and relatives identified as “We the People” committed to the restoration of Skagit county to a constitutionally governed county.
The Mission statement of Skagit Peers is to nominate all oath taking officials that will execute their duties and office constitutionally without endangering, denying or usurping any rights or Liberties given to We the People by God or guaranteed by the Constitution of the State of Washington or the United States Constitution.
Skagit Peers of the People realize that our county is off the rails in spending, elections, school boards, county commissioners and protection by our sheriff.
As We the People identified in our constitutions, we identify Skagit Peers as “We the People in our Skagit county. We agree that we are empowered by the constitutions to restore Skagit county back to the plan of living with all of our rights, Liberty and happiness intact.
We are organized as a nonprofit movement with the intent of being diligent not for an election, but for as long as it takes to preserve this constitutional inheritance for our children and for the millions of unborn heirs yet to be born.
Skagit Peers is a peaceful, primary group of people who have similar constitutional interests, and believe that we SHALL NOT BE DENIED!
As Peers we are of equal standing with each other. If we can not find a candidate that agrees with our philosophy, we will nominate one of our peers to run for the office opening, combining our votes, to make sure the candidate believes in fulfilling their oath of office when elected.
Skagit Peers still believes the Preamble of “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America,” is as valid today as it was when 39 of our forefathers, signed the constitution 234 years ago.
The importance of this phrase shows that it was all of the people that loaned certain powers outlined in the Constitution to a government we formed with the provision that the government could never take away any of our rights, life or free will, and that the government remained our employee, NEVER TO BECOME OUR MASTER!
Today, “We the People” includes all state citizens of the united states. These state citizens are born in their respective states or they can receive U.S. citizenship by becoming legally qualified through application and approval.
WHAT DOES We the People Mean?
We the PEOPLE means the same thing today as it did 234 years ago…Skagit Peers merely reminds local and federal government that We ONLY loaned part of our powers from the “We the People.” This is very important because without the people lending the power, the United States Constitution would not have been able to become the guideline for the Republic government we have today!
Nominating a constitutional Sheriff is the first step to insure our rights and liberties are secure for the future.
Skagit Peers are people anywhere that want to see the Skagit county we love, preserved for the children of the future.
